No. Documents already issued remain valid. The address is updated when they are renewed or a new procedure needs it.

House number, street (hamlet or residential group), the new commune, ward or special zone, the new province or city. No district.

Addresses & documentsDo licence plates and postcodes change?

Licence plates already issued remain in use. Postcodes are updated separately by Vietnam Post.

Addresses & documentsDo street names and house numbers change?

Not in this reorganisation. The tool keeps the house number and street you enter.
